A few of my favorite things...<3
"Bubbly" Colbie Caillat vs. PiNKbERRY
vs.
i've heard many many many too many songs about sex, girls, boys and money and cars and pish posh. it's been a while since i've heard a nice, wholesome, bubbly song like this.
it actually makes me smile when i listen to it. forealforeal. i heard this song on z100 first and I almost cried with gregT as he was talking about how he made an album of his daughter, his wife and himself using this song. HOW SWEET! <3 you might be saying omg this is such a "girly" thing, but honestly if you boys get a daughter or even a son you WILL want to use this song.
i think it might be just as good as PINKBERRY!!!! and you all know how good pinkberry is.
some ppl say that the yogurt gets to be too much after a while and the same may be for this song, but for now they are both my favorite.
the list of favorite things actually go on and on....pizza, french fries, mcdonald's cone, salt and vinegar chips, clear skin, old navy flip flops, sudoku, HELLO KITTY, diet coke, starbucks venti iced coffree w. lite ice", good conversation, white clothing, the color green <3, style="font-weight: bold;">angelina jolie, emails that arent about hw, reunions, great pictures, scrapbooks, organizing, building ikea furniture, perfume, cheese, BUTTER<3, celebrity gossip, long beach, RITA'S, opening new things, opening boxes (even textbooks), writing in my journal...
what are your favorite things?
continuing with that, i feel like everything we do is at the last minute. are you guys working on the retreat? it's only week away and i know it is your retreat also. but are we just "winging" it? i know we always pull through and we do a nice job as a group, but dongsan definitely lack organization. if it isn't so last minute, we can get more people involved. since it's done last minute, same people who are always at church end up doing things. if we sit down think about what needs to be done and who can benefit from serving, that would be good. 그리고 나같은 사람 머리 좀 들 아프겠지? i think it runs top to bottom. starting with pastors, down to teachers and to kids.
to emphasize, i think some kids need to find other avenues to serve at dongsan. other than choir and band, there is absolutely nothing for non-musically talented people to serve. we have to come up with ways to get them involved.

Maybe a Different Question for those that Can't Asnwer
How can we contribute to the church through our respective areas of work?
ways of improving DongSanYouthGroup?
Man, i love our youth group.
4 years ago, i was part of this wonderful bunch, too!
Ever since i left, i feel that the youth group made great steps of improvements. ....the wave of the musical talents flourishing our chapel every week! and the hearts that want to serve and give to this youth group .. it's just awesome to see all my munchkin..."little brothers and sisters" grow up to be the big brothers and sisters for the following generation.
However i think we can still work on the bond between the older group to the younger members of the group. The older ones usually take lead of the big group events and its wonderful to see the the younger ones learn from what they do for future when it's time for them to lead...
But I feel that it's always been very difficult to find a personal bond between the two different age groups. It was the same for me when I was part of youth group and i think that problem still remains. So maybe we can start a big brother/sister to little brother/sister system so that they can keep each other accountable spiritually, share their struggles, and learn from each other :)

Question for Everyone...
How do you think we can improve as a youth group?
